Just pre ordered my Akimbo from Treestuff. Thanks for a amazing product I can’t wait to put it to work. I was able to climb on Proto type a month ago and was instantly sold. Again amazing product.

I just tried at wesspur and "not valid or expired". Damnit...maybe died when expo did?

I just preordered at wespur and had no problem. The expo discount worked fine. I typed "expo" all lower case letters. It also said out of stock. Probably because it's a pre-order and they don't have it in stock yet.

I run into that all too often when rec climbing, trying to get permission at parks. They understand rock climbing but for some reason can't make the mental jump to tree climbing as a pastime. They just lump any mention of it with loggers using spikes and often won't even discuss it. Very frustrating. I don't like to stealth climb without permission, but often it seems the only way.

Well I said that then realized it doesn't apply the code to the akimbo. hopefully they'll honor it since their coupon says "site wide"

To be fair, there is also a huge etiquette in rock climbing regarding how things are done. Ie damage to rock, certain hardware not allowed, certain equipment allowed on certain routes

Has it ever made a difference when you showed credentials as an arborist ?

I’ve come into similar situations with parks people when I was using trees as slackline anchors. Showing that i was an arborist and using appropriate protection (padding) for the trees cambium was enough for them to leave me alone. (Responsibility, respect and care, due diligence)
