Far be it for me to be the responsible one in the room, but you might want to finish paying restitution and your court/legal fees before you purchase one of these Mr. Gu?That's a thing of beauty...

Looks awesome. Interesting clip in point. I wonder if it naturally releases you when you sit back into your system
That is exactly what the tending point does now. It releases when you lean back and down.I suspect the same....patiently waiting on an update.
interesting.. Seems a little clunky in thought to clip into it, pull down the small gate hook then release. I'm sure one would get use to it.That is exactly what the tending point does now. It releases when you lean back and down.
Yes the new blue is definitely lighterThanks for the side by side comparison, it looks even lighter and more compact than the original - very sweet.
I haven't seen the rock exotica version in person, but from the image it looks like you could use a small ring for tending and just push down on the corner of the spring on the clip with the ring. Similar to how you open a Caritool with a ring on the saw lanyard. Seems like it'd be an easy one handed attachment.interesting.. Seems a little clunky in thought to clip into it, pull down the small gate hook then release. I'm sure one would get use to it.
It looks like it will hook to a chesty with a ring with one hand and release with no hands, just a downward pull as Jaime said.interesting.. Seems a little clunky in thought to clip into it, pull down the small gate hook then release. I'm sure one would get use to it.
Or a small biner or dog snap, snap in then sit to release. Guess I will try it out when the new shiney arrives. It looks like it will hook to a chesty with a ring with one hand and release with no hands, just a downward pull as Jaime said.
I just love all the new refinements. A lot of thought has gone into this tool and it shows.
The end of the spring gate protrudes a tiny bit so you can push a ring or microbiner into it one handed without having to hold the gate open.interesting.. Seems a little clunky in thought to clip into it, pull down the small gate hook then release. I'm sure one would get use to it.
We tried to orient the gate so that you can lean back without disengagement but how well that works is going to vary a lot based on where your chest clip is located and how long your bridge is etc.It looks like it would work well. My concern would be that I like to keep my tending point attached and sit back or pull back while standing on the rope because it keeps me in a more upright position and this tending clip looks like it would auto release.
