The New Notch Equipment Brand - For arborists by arborists

So you've got a feeling that David got done wrong?

I do and I'm not referring to that notch logo Nick.
Rigging rings without the hard coat are a poor low ball at best.
I have enough proof in one aluminium portawrap and my own eyes to know that.
you want to improve on something then hard coat the drum on a bollard then you will have a product worth my money.

Competition is good. Poor imitation is, well, poor. Re-branding is useful if you already have a crappy brand. All just my opinion, of course.

Who are the arborists working for Sherrillstuff?

I don't work for either, but occasionally I get the opportunity to beat the shit outta stuff they develop.

Some of it is good, some is krap. I have never had a problem telling them either way.

Way to go @Tripp Wyckoff :vomito: I just read whole bunch of nothing. Proof is in the pudding.
  1. leg mounts missed the mark nothing new solution
  2. wedge, yard armour is same old same old
  3. dolley fair attempt to compete with others
Nobody cares about your "small experienced team of product managers and engineers or your "crew of pro, working arborists " What we care about is the best product, an improved product at a fair price.
Either way we are listening and hope to see some positive change.
Keep on keepin on:birra:

I was really excited about the leg mounts. Have you tried them? Just looking for more info before I think it may become feasible to leg mount a sugoi on short legs.

Mine have held up solid - VERY impressed how well they "stick" to the leg. The limitation to hand-saw size is based on your lower leg length. I'm 6'2" and a sugoi just won't fit.

I've switched back to rear saddle mount for safety because my primary line just gets around the leg mount too often - too stuck in my ways to retrain my muscle memory.

Nice product nonetheless

Mine are holding up ok. Rubber broke and Velcro tab tore.
Damn.

I am used to a saw down there. The tsurugi is basically made for it. The scabbard allowing you to turn the handle either way is super convenient.
I really would like to have an even more aggressive saw on hand, but I would ve quite happy if it were just a little more comfortable, too.

I sure did and a nice note From Sean. No the replacement rubbers are fine. It was the first run rubbers. Everything is good and I think the tear in the Velcro is from an outside force, not manufacturing issues. None the less, they still work and they have held up to the daily beating I place on them. I didn't think I'd like having a hand saw on my leg but it's kinda grown on me. Its just a pain when my lanyard grabs the saw but that's not a talon issue.

@NorCalBrock - you just made my day.
