The New Notch Equipment Brand - For arborists by arborists

Briggs & stratton makes a combo can...
I received some of the Notch rings, expecting rebadged antals,I sent them back only because I didn't realize they carried a lifetime warranty like the abr rings... So now am wondering if they actually do have the notch lifetime warranty on the x-rings?
Notch'ur rings!!

Are they not re-stamped Antal rings? I'd have mixed feelings for sure if they were trying something new, I just hate change

YOu mean like this?

The reusable file case is cool. How bout a file holder that closes securely & fits three round files (little, medium, big) and a flat file. The file I need is always back on the work bench!

3/4 inch PVC file holder. Each file in a straw. Engraved into pvc are file/chain sizes. Magic marker then sanded to make marker stand out. Neither end glued. Holds eight. Holes drilled in PVC to match files sizes for those older eyes that can't see the small number or when the numbers are missing.

Probably my most important chain sharpening accessory. No kidding. (2.5X) With these the chain tooth looks the size of a brick. Find good photos of what a good tooth is supposed to look like. Play around with square filing, etc. Don't keep switching chains on a saw....work the combo until you have the best depth gauge setting for the hp of the saw, bar length and the type and size of wood you are cutting. It helps if you have free time to play around with it. Being on a production run with a crew is a bad time to learn, IMO.

I would like to see NOTCH produce a bad ass bag. Something that fits the bill for all my stuff. A bigger version of the courant with a rope tarp and many outer pockets. Kind of like the new sherrillt pr o bag but with a better material like the metolius bags.

Metolius knows nothing about good business... they build stuff that lasts for ever [emoji23]
