The FARGO wood chipper...is in Fargo. When the movie came out I had a wood chipper that would take 12" diameter logs and turn them into matchbooks. When I watched the scene I chuckled...a dark chuckle...because of the undersized tool for the job. The Lady I was with gave me a big ol' elbow jab and shushed me. HEHEHEH!


 
Wow. That’s funny. What’s even funnier is that the “fictional” brand name the movie crew came up with for that machine is the Eager Beaver. I happen to have a real Eager Beaver chipper sitting in the parking lot right now, proving quite clearly that their fictional name should have been researched a little more… I wonder if they had to pay Morbark royalties for using the name?
 
Additional info from a friend who was a sales rep for Tilton for many years.

In real life that is a Yard Shark chipper shredder built in Minnesota by Tilton Equipment Company.
