Anybody else out there ecstatic that the stupid Cowboys didn't even make it to the playoffs?


I'll bet this guy is surprised his boyfriend Tony Romo sucks out loud in December


Now we can all look forward to that marshmallow with headphones they call a head coach getting canned, and Jerry Jones making more boneheaded, Oakland Raider-esque moves in the off season to ensure another over-hyped, underperforming Dallas Cowboy team for the 2009 season.

Being a native of Fort Worth (well, actually, Kelly Clarkson's hometown of Burleson), I have a soft spot somewhere deep down for the Cowboys. Being fed up with pro sports in general and the arrogant attitude of the local team in particular, I hate the Cowboys.

Which means I am delighted when they win, and even more delighted when they lose. Go Verizon Shucksters!

(meant to poke at the corporate nature of pro sports--I don't actually know if Verizon has any sponsorship agreements with any football teams).

I would say that, without a doubt, the absolute worst, least respectible, never done anything except get hummers from strippers on a boat, always prone to spectacular sucking football team in the universe would be the Minnesota Vikings. I hold a special contemptuous place in my heart for the vikings.

I think Sports Hate is a good thing. It involves a lot of generalization (which I love), and can hold grudges for not only decades, but for generations.

I inherited my love for watching the Cowgirls fail from my old man (R.I.P. old man!).

Got some cattle protein at the co-op this morning and overheard the regulars seriously talking about driving up to Dallas and castrating the quaterback.

They get pretty uptight about "God's team" here, but what the heck, football is church here.

I also think it was wrong to fire him like that.....but maybe all things will be forgotten next year if the Broncos make it into the playoffs without that squinty-eyed SOB coaching the team.
