i just ordered a lonewolf climbing stand to start doing coconut palms spikless an not have to be in the same class as the hackers who use spikes. i wanted to thank you all for the words of wisdom you shared about spiking palms an how to set yourself apart from the hackers. the treebuzz community rocks! a special thanks to jeff L and jesse huffman thier talks with me about spikless palm pruning. platforms are the way to go. BTW guys if your gonna use a platform to trim palms, dont buy the cheap ones. buy the lonewolf brand as they lst the longest and are the best for this application according to my buddy daniel enso who helped start the palm platform revolution. you need to get the platform welded at the joint where it has the screws to fold it up. you wont need it or want it to fold up while using it for palm work. PM me if you wanna know more about using the platforms.
