Thank you Veterans!!

If you have faithfully served our Country our your own home country, then I would like to personally express my eternal gratitude. I wish to personally say "Thank You!"

Whether you are a WWII veteran, Korean Veteran, Vietnam Veteran, Cold War Veteran, present day veteran, or active warrior, THANK YOU.

The Call came and you answered. You did your job. Without you, there would be no free world. There would be no free people.

No greater love is there than to lay your life on the line for a friend, or stranger.

You truly are the selfless, and the humble.

Thank you for all that you have given.

I also want to say thank you to you on behalf to the people who do not understand what you have done.

I want to say thank you on behalf to those who do not care to find out why you have done what you have done.

I want to say thank you on behalf of all those who keep asking, "Why can't we all just get along?"

I want to thank you because you know that evil does exist in the world. And someone needs to stand ready to defend against it.

I want to say thankyou on behalf of those who are are too selfish to look beyond themselves.

You are truly Heroes.

I Thank you with all I have inside of me.

And just so that you didn’t miss it the first time.

THANK YOU!

Today we remember all veterans who have offered themselves as the price for our freedom.

The 11th Month, on the 11th Day at the 11th hour was to be remembered as armistice day. It was the end of WWI, the war that was suppose to end all wars.

In 1938 Veterans day was officially recognized in the USA.

However, November 11 is not just for Americans to remember American Veterans.

We cannot ever forget the Brits who stood in the gap alone while we enjoyed our isolated safety. When Poland was invaded, you honored your promise to them. For all of you serving God, Crown and Country. I thank you especially.

We cannot forget our friends to the North. "Oh Canada we stand on guard for thee.." You too stood in the gap with England, together we crossed the beaches of normandy.

And our friends Down Under. To you an especially heartfelt THANK YOU. You have always stood fast. You have also been most loyal to us when we've needed support. You have always stood fast and stood with us. We owe you our unending loyalty.

When free people unite to defend Liberty, the forces of oppression begin to see the end of thier days. Thankyou for being there for all free people.

To all of you who have stood, defended and bought our liberty,

THANK YOU!

All of our soldiers, both past, and present, offer themselves as payment for our freedom. Liberty is never free and part of the price of liberty is eternal vigilance and stepping up to the plate when the fight must be fought.

Lets remember and pray for those serving today, pray for those serving tomorrow, and remember those who have served in the past.

Never forget—Always remember and realize that what they have given us is priceless. Lets not squander that gift.
It is true that “All of them gave some. But some of them gave all.”

To help us remember, someone has put together a nice music video. If you have the bandwidth (its about 6 meg), here is the link. (Have the kleenex handy)

In closing, here are the words of one of our presidents:

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”
Kennedy, John F.

Never Forget,

Here is a PowerPoint file My wife's cousin sent us. It was put together by some soldiers to remind us here at home what it is all about.

My wife's cousin has served several tours in Gulf. He was deployed in several areas but mostly in Baghdad and Fallujah.

His was one of the first units into Fallujah during the major push to retake it from the insurgents.

The PPS file can be downloaded here: http://www.rfwood.com/BeforeYouWake.pps

Also, here is an excerpt from his latest email to us. He is stateside now, stationed in Fort Gordon, GA.

Thanks for the support, today for Veterans day I went over to the 3mile track here on Ft Gordon where there has been at least 1 Marine running at all times for the last 21 days 24/7 (each Marine) carrying 21 rounds.

I ran 1 lap with them in rememberance of the fellow Marines I served with in Fallujah last year.

They have been running in rememberance of the 600 Marines and Navy Corpsman that have died in the GWOT.

Today every Marine who ran did 1 final lap and then the Marine Color guard fired 21 rounds and did a rollcall for there 600 who never made it home. It was a good ceremony and a sad day.

A lot of people think Veterans day is just a 4 day weekend. I'm glad people like you remember what gave us Veterans Day.

Thank you!

Never Forget

Thank you soldiers, and apologies for the citizens of this country who live fat, wasteful, and greedy lives. Apologies that in order to maintain these citizen's freedom to waste resources and energy, become fat and lazy, and live corrupted and slothful lives, you have become the defenders of Mobil, Bechtel, Wal mart, Coke, Hollywood, Pornography and the ones who profit from land and culture raping. This saddens me because This change has happenend in my life.
No longer are you being sent to defend the people, small businesses, family farms, community, healthy educations and the resources that sustain us all. Air,and water.

It shames me that while having defended human rights in the past, you are now being sent to enforce the rich becoming richer and the hungry becoming hungrier. In many cases you are being asked to violate human rights. I Know that there is real evil out there, I just wish that you would be here on this soil to defend us because I now feel more unsecure than ever, as our best are thousands and thousands of miles away.

I also feel that the evil out there might even be coming from the very people that sent you away from this land where we need you now more than ever.

When I speak out against an unjust war now it does not mean I dont honor you and respect you as having signed up to defend this country. It means that I no longer feel like you are serving my country. It means I feel like you were stolen from us. I feel like a few people got together and hijacked you from this country and are now useing you to make themselve more rich, more oppulent, and more greedy.

So I thank you and I apologize as well for as a country letting you down and allowing your theft. I anxiously await your return.
love
kevin
