Text Book Suggestions

Yeah but we could also do some trenching or de-compacting that day too. I also want to lean on local companies for equipment and technique demos. Lots of good folks here probably willing to put in a little of their time. Exposes the students to industry members at the same time.

I am lost as to your plan. If this is a formal course than you need to tailor the lectures and labs to the course overview, learning outcomes and assessment methods. Root collar excavation is a waste of time if a learning out come is that the student will know the 50 most common diseases and insects of ornamental plants in the Ohio landscape.

demos are fun but do they meet the learning outcomes?

Plant health care encompasses more than the 50 most common pests and diseases.

I want them to assess some trees on campus that could likely benefit from an RCX, then follow that with removing sgrs and then creating a bed around the tree.

Bugs and crud comes later in the course.

So then RCX is specifically mentioned in the course outline and aligns with the required learning outcomes, great.
