Texas

Jimmy did the MC using the Unicender. As far as I know this is the first time that the Unicender has been used in a MC. My chair was setup with my Mom and a friend of hers in the middle of a large group of people. There was an interesting buzz in the group when Jimmy ascended. Seeing him ropewalk interested them.

I'll leave Jimmy to talk about his climb.

I was 3rd didnt really have a good climb,I did the entire tree srt.I was warned not to use a really tight union but I did anyway and it literally took me like 6 or more minutes to pull my rope thru it.I dont think it would of mattered much I heard Abe had a flawless climb.

As far as going SRT, well im not that small these days and really not in the best shape. If i would have footlocked into that tree I would have died.As far as going srt with the uni it seem like the best transition using the frog walker.I made alot of mistakes that I hope I learn from.My biggest one is going against my number one rule of climbing and thats having a plan before I even see the tree.I thought i was smarter then that I always tell everyone to base there climbing system and plan on the tree and not vise versa. To have alot of tools in the tool box and implement the best one for the particular tree.well it was fun none the less and im thankful for the experience. Cormac Nagan also did the MC as a guest it was smooth,if he climbs like that at international look out.

Respect to you Jimmy for applying a new tool in a MC and trying it a different way with so much pressure. I do find the unicender took a while to get used too but I was very happy with the reward when it came. I'm sure you'll have a chance again at the MC.
Abram did have a very good climb, very smooth and controlled. I am happy for him as he is heading to Europe for his comp tour as Tx champion.
I was lucky enough to see the entire MC from the top of the tree as I was the rescue tech. The tree was a old 100 foot pecan with a beatiful wide spread. Apart from the wind blowing me around, it was a terrific experience to see all the climbs up close.
Great too to work with Rich Hattier who was the tech on the ground. Rich, I look forward to seeing you again,
loved hanging out and working together.

Chiggers be dammed!! Great weekend, great people. ALL SMILES!! Jimmy, if it wasn't for that crotch you would of had smooth sailing. You hit the highest tip in the tree and I enjoyed watching your climb. Congrats to Abram. Top notch climb and watching Cormac always blows my mind. Watch out for Texas, we are bringing it home!!!

Yeah Chris Im really happy for Arborham hes been going after this for a long time.If he has a good day he has the potential to do good in chicago.
