test on rigging/knots

question guys.. i am taking my ca test thur. where can i study a little more on knots, cabling, and bracing. i have read all your posts, very interesting by the way. and i have the arborist certification guide. is this enough? thanks for all the help

For me I used the guide and a tree field guide to go over the ID list. Study the book hard AND make sure you can describe each word in the glossary. Thats all I used and made an 88% my first time. Wished I'd have studied the glossary and could have done better.
As far as more on cableing, BMP's from ISAwould be where you could find out more. But being this short notice the book has all the info you should need to pass the test. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Read in chapter five in this manual about cabling. There is lots of other relevant info too.

Pretty well written and the illustrations are good too...heheheh...I'm biased

dont worry about knots I really dont remember anything about knots on the test...and good luck you will do awesome!!! let us know how you did and remember you can search your name on the site and find out if you passed like 5 or 6 days after you took the test

It is a good idea to brush up on cabling, bracing, and lightning protection. Since it is such a small domain you can only miss a very few questions before you fail the domain.

you can fail a domain and still past the test...all you need now is a 72% overall to pass

you guys are wonderful, i am taking the test by computer, you actually find out if you passed before you leave the building so believe me i will be on tree.buzz as quickly as i can if i pass, if i dissappear, well you know i f up. but with all the insight and help from everyone i think i will be good. nervous but good. i am reading....reading and doing as many example questions as possible. so keep it coming and again i thank all of you.

I'm waiting till next year the test will only be a throw bag shot, ID 4 common tress, and make a proper flush cut. Green backs will need to be paid up front though, can't forget the capitol.

The lady at the local arbor told me a year or so ago that she was about to take the test. She said that they had a few diferent level or degrees that you can take? Any one herd of this?
And how hard is this thing anyway? I have herd "the hardest test ever" Take months of stuing or what? Oh ya it is Thurs. so good luck!

okay i am finished with the test. i di it on a computer at one of their testing sites not bad actually great... i passed!!!!!! wow what a relief. the test is harder than you think only because of the way they phrase the questions. 200 questions, ten of those are id those were easy all but one a little tricky, but thank goodness it is over... i am certified and i am happy!!!!!
