What system to chapters use for belaying the speed climbs?

Today I found these Australian fall protection devices that seem to be the answer for a belay. They come in a variety of lengths. The one that I know of in the US is only a forty footer. Not long enough for the start of next year's fifty foot footlock.

Mw chapter intalls a separate rope thru an adjacent crotch, clip the climber in, and belay him to the top through either a fig 8 or gri-gri, then belay him back down. Weve had no problems that I know of.

Texas installs a strap around the base of the tree and clips the tail of the climber's rope into a biner with a munter hitch. The "crotch" is a big pulley with the sheave bolted so it won't turn (not zero friction, but close).
