Tactical APTA

When I was a teenager, I was riding around downtown with my brother and a few of his friends, all jammed into a Rambler station wagon... those ones with the push-button automatic transmission, goofy push buttons on the dashboard. We decided to do a Chinese fire drill at a stoplight, and there was an off-duty cop in the lane next to us. He rolled down his window, flashed his badge, and said, "Very funny, guys. Now, get back in the clown car and don't do that again."

I've often wondered if that incident didn't have some sort of.. I don't know... subconscious effect on me, or something.

:ROFLMAO: Thanks Jeff, I needed a good chuckle.

To those with a forward mounted grip. Do any of you notice a loss or least a lack of consistency? On a real firearm a barrel mounted grip will play havoc with consistency of accuracy. In the case of the APTA it would coincide with bag weight, angle of barrel, distance, and valve manipulation.
Just curious if anyone has good repeatable shots with a forward grip. I would guess it to be more relevant with a real firearm then a bag launching air rifle.
You're right about the harmonics on a rifle barrel barrel, I like a free floater, but that's a different animal than shooting a bag through a smooth barrel. Anything to help steady your aim is an improvement.

wish someone would find a battery operated solenoid type switch/valve.

Done! You can use a sprinkler valve - either electrically (a few 9V batteries), or after modifying the valve to accept a pneumatic trigger.

People have been doing this sort of thing for a long time. A manually actuated ball-valve is pretty neolithic compared to other triggering methods.

or TactAPTA.........or just the TC3000.

A buddy of mine build this beauty. Couple of neat details, my favourite is the pressure gauge. He powers it with a paintball tank.

I really like how the handle and scope are attached. Looks like there both on a rail scope mount? How is the mount attached, glued? Can ask your friend and let us know, that would be great. Also is the pressure gauge just screwed and taped or is there another method?
Thanks!

The rail is nice because it's adds the option of adjustments. I believe he had it glued temporarily until he got it tack welded. The pressure gauge was drilled and tapped.
