TAC 730 Chipper

Yeah, the 730s have been 74.5hp for 9 months or so to get in the lower EPA bracket.

Hopefully the website will be updated soon. The build sheets I have show 74.5, which is also on my online store.

Carl, I don't see too many TEREX dealers out here on the West Coast. What does it take to become an official dealer these days?

Nice chipper bixler glad to see it working good for you we just ordered a 750hd fully loaded from timberland should be done mid january. Terex has very competitive pricing fully loaded with cone holders hydraulic chute and jack it ran a little over 60k if you build a 1590 with similar options you save around 10 grand. I jumped when they still had some tier 3 160hp still in stock.

Congrats on the 750HD, thats what my first Terex customer bought as well.

For the record and shameless plug for myself, I'm the Tree Buzz resident Terex dealer (also handle Terex for Tree Stuff) as well as still representing Dave/Top Notch for Gehl, Avant, and Boxer. I show extra love to forum members, as well as 24/7/365 support/customer access (If I don't answer I'll call back shortly).

Bandits are proven and reliable. Aren't these terex clippers just rebranded woodmans? There has been lots of talk over the years that woodsmans are great chippers....when they aren't in the shop. While these Terexs look like nice chippers 10k isn't much to save if it haults a production crew.

We have lots of bandits some where good some bad. LIke a 250xp solid machine. I became interested years ago when marquis tree started using them. Last time I talked with them some of there 790 had over 5k hours still running strong. Don't quote me maybe he can chime in.. and yes they bought woodsman years ago. They also purchased a European stump grinder company which the name slips my mind.
if we like the 750hd we will convert to teRex over time.
As some of the bandits are less than a year old.

2005 morbark 2400xl with grapple
2014 255xp bandit
2014 1590 bandit
2007 250xp
and our latest the 750hd.

The only reason I posted the list so you can tell I've done some homework before you think I just did it to save 10 grand.

We also wanted to try the single in feed on all these dead ash trees as we are removing thousands of them and see no end in site. We are constantly plugging the bottom feed wheels up even with the doors open. Causing us to have to reverse the bar for a little while. Only seems to happen on bone dead ash.

Limb Control you are absolutly right about 10k not being that much if it haults a crew. If I had any inclination of them being a risk I wouldn't have done it. 100k wouldn't be worth hauling a high production crew.

As far as I know, it's a private label deal. They placed another order for grinders last week.
That's awesome that they are moving in that direction atleast. I'm gonna go check the plant out when mine is done up in fowler michingan save some shipping $$.

When they bring some of the bigger laski models over I'll be all over it looks like they have a 65hp diesel they are using across the pond.

The factory is in Farwell, I'll be up there next week. They are working on diesel options, the emissions requirements in the US don't make it easy though.

Tier 3 w/ 160 hp! Thanks Matt, nice choice, that 750Hd will compliment your crane truck nicely... :sorprendido3:

Haha that would make for a disappointing trip!

Did you get an estimated completion date? I think I'll be back up there in January picking up some machines.

I haven't checked back but at first they said early to mid january. If you could pm me the address I'd appriciate it kinda curiose to see how far I gotta drive exactly. Been debating on getting it delivered.

If it's ready when you make a trip or something I might have to just bite the bullet and ship it. Haven't left for more than a day in 7 years always to much to get done.
