Anybody know when we might see this saw stateside? We need a new climb saw and would like to give it a chance before I buy a used 200T or 201T.

The guy at the Husky booth at the ISA annual conference says they're available now (or at least any day now). I pawed it and had a nice conversation about it. Now I want one!

Me too!Had one in my hands at the TCIA expo last November. I was on the Husqvarna.ca site last night and the 540xp is on their now. it wasn't last week. I have to grab a bar and chains for my new 395 xp in the morning from my local Husky dealer so i will inquire with them.

Roger, not officially. If I bumped into you, I didn't realize it.

The guy at the Husky booth @ ITCC said they were gonna price it "a nickel under" the price of the ms201t. It was clear to me that Husky has their crosshairs on the #1 climbing saw title.

Hope this saw lives up to its potential. I'm sick of the 192 I had to buy in a pinch and I'm not a fan of the 201 I've been running when I climb for some of the companies in the area. I like the balance of that 201 but it runs like a dog. If the 540 doesn't live up to the hype I'll probably have to get a 201 and do the Brad Snelling mods. Can't afford to spend a grand on a new 200 on ebay.

checked with my local dealer a couple of weeks ago and he said November first. But he wasn't at all familiar with the saw. That was a date he came up with after typing a lot on his keyboard.

The T 540 XP will be out somewhere in januari 2013. That's what husqvarna told me.

I did some serious testing on the 540 last year and there seem to be some minor issues they want to have fixed before putting the new saw on the market. But aye...it's allways the good stuff that needs time.

Power and torque are great ! RPM just what we are used from the bigger husqvarna saws, but sttttt I can't realy tell more at this point.......
;-)

I'll post updates as soon as the saw is ready :-)
I did some serious testing and the saw is yet still being upgraded and improved, so when it finally arives the Buzz will be one of the first forums I will post a descent review.

Cheers

Wouter, it sounds great! Can't wait for them to come out. I'll be all Husky when I lose the 200t's and backpack blower. Forgot the polesaw.

Ran one briefly last summer. All the power of a 200t with the balance and ergonomics of a husky top handled. Different size hand grip options and a few different ways to connect to a lanyard/ ring for a saddle attachment. The see through chain brake handle was nicer than I thought it would be.

Auto tune was a bit strange as the saw never seemed to bog, but cutting performance was high. All in all a hammer built for tree work. Keep in mind I am pretty much a husky guy who has been forced to run a Sthil in the tree for various reasons.

I'll own one as my next top handled.

Tony
