T540 idling issues

Need some advice on something....
I have a T540 that won't idle, it just dies out. Take your finger off the throttle and it's dead.
Ive covered as many basics as I could, then brought it to the local shop and they replaced the carb/ reprogrammed, new coils, seals checked.
What am I missing and does this sound familiar to anyone

Has the gas tank vent been upgraded yet? That is something the dealer will do under warranty. Don't know if it will help the idle, it might but it's something that should be done in any case. If you can see or smell gas around the carb then it definitely needs to be done. Ask your dealer, he should be aware of it. There's another thread on here regarding that.

Not to derail. But is the 540 the "husky climbing saw beast"? Guy at work bought one a couple months back...haven't seen it in about 2 weeks...must like our 200t's better...thing seemed like an underpowered paddle boat when i saw him use it.

With a muffler mod they cut great. Before the mod,, just pretty good. It's a bit of a bitch to get to the muffler though.
