What should I get for suspenders on my treemotion saddle?

Monkey Beaver
Courant koala
Weaver?
Edelrid?

I am tending towards the koala. The MB is similarly priced but seems so much heavier/hotter like wearing a backpack.

I have a homemade setup that is pretty good but, as always, could be better.

I am using the Courant on my treemotion evo and I like them a lot. They've been pretty comfortable, but I've only got a few climbs in them so far.

I looked at the web page for the Monkey Beaver suspenders. The shoulder straps look like they only make contact on the inboard edges (edges towards your neck) where they go over your shoulders. I don't know if that makes a comfort difference in actual usage.

I was thinking about getting the camp suspenders right now I'm just using some husky work belt suspenders from home depot and they're fine.

Hello. Been there, done that. Super happy. Like 100%....
The Weaver Elastic Suspender arrived in one day! They're awesome, and fit on my Petzl Sequoia (MRS) nicely. They're a very stout elastic. In no way do they sag under the wait of the harness. I think the hipless amongst us will be pleased. Definitely eliminates the need to overtighten the harness waist belt or your pant belt...which always feels cruddy after a while. Here they are: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CL47BR5?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_G7XBBZSMGTE343KC9W8W

Cheers.

What about 10-15 pounds of saw? We carry a bit more weight around in the tree than you do.

Been running the Weaver elastic suspenders on my treemo for years and I reckon I spend more time with large saws (372 & 395) hanging off me than most here. Just a comfortable, cheap, and highly effective setup.

Go to post #34 for pics of how I run mine-

I have both the Weaver elastic and Monkey Beaver, and I prefer the Weaver. The MBs are webbing and I felt kind of... trapped in them because they can't stretch at all. The Weaver being elastic, provides for a lot more movement and comfort, while still providing support. Plus they are like $100 less. That's my experience at least.

Ive been running the camp suspenders. Typically only put them on when im doing removals and going to have a larger saw in the tree for a while. My saddle is a new tribe onyx though not a treemotion

Thanks for all the replies!

I am going to give the koala a go I think.

My coworker wears the Weaver suspenders and he likes them but I think the Courant is closer to my current setup, which I really like when it's proper setup. Granted the price tag is quite the swing...

That's not at all how they fit. Imo they are they only suspenders to get as they are designed by production climbers that do this day in and day out. Monkey bever is the simple answer! Good luck!

Oh I meant tending for srt, and climbing system. I like that the suspenders have those but curious if they are as good as chest harness for tending.
