Man hurt jumping into wood chipper

A man was severely injured when he threw himself into a wood chipper in Roseville, police said.

Crews were clearing trees in a public area Thursday afternoon when the man appeared and jumped head first into the wood chipper. Workers turned off the machine and called 911, and the man was rushed to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with injuries to his head and torso.

Police are calling it a suicide attempt and said the man is between 19 and 21 years old.

Killing one's self is a human right, but there should be legal guidelines as to how, when and where. Especially when you leave a mess that might mess-up some other poor dude's life.

Employment contracts should state irrevocably that with company equipment or time, it isn't allowed.

Poor kid should've just rammed a concrete bridge abutment at 90 mph or hung himself instead.

At the funeral you can write them up!

Bad day for that crew.

Here's a web address to see more on the story. I guess we'll have to wait til another time to find out if the new Vermeer is any good for chipping bodies.

Seriously, I feel really bad for that guy's family (I hope that he has one) and especially him.
