Stihl MS500i - fuel injected

Surprised to see a primer bulb on it, quite a departure from Stihl norms. Would have been great if the guy could have fielded the question on it, I wonder if it actually primes the manifold with fuel or if it pressurizes the injector prior to startup?

4 please...we tested a saw about 8 years ago through our dealer/distributor that i tore apart after the first day wondering what it was we were running... no labels anywhere, power to carb, dealer could only tell me (and wasn't surprised i took it apart), that it wasn't the motor, and 5 saws were sent out through the ohio distributor, all set up a little differently...hindsight, it was the mtronic system we were testing. I instructed everyone not to be kind to it, we kicked it, dropped it from our waist when putting it down, literally beat the hell out of all of it. I told them not to be nice, this might be our future saws...Distributor said, "if it breaks, we'll try and get parts for you. There was constant paperwork, but it lasted 4 months, and we used it for stuff we normally wouldn't have. Wish i could get in on this one.

My bet is it puts fuel into the manifold. I don't believe a primer bulb wouldn't generate enough pressure for fuel injection.

Called my dealer, they're rep said late spring for U.S. availability was the last he heard...dealer said that "in stihl language that means maybe june or july."
