Stihl 661 Problem

Exactly. The new saws are the future. will take some time before things are flawless. The saws just retune to conditions and user Some users should never touch a chainsaw. Revving hard when saw not under load . THAT PISSES ME OFF.
 
They're pretty good when everything is working right. But when a new saw just out of warranty won't even idle and all it needs is a very minor adjustment that should take 10 seconds now requires hours and more money than it should. That doesn't seem like progress to me. That seems like a manufacturer defect that should be covered at least for a few years instead of a design flaw that gets pawned off on the buyer and becomes their problem to make right.

I can see your point.
 
If the new 2 strokes follow suit with the new technology as the vehicles have; they will never be better or flawless. What's going on decreases the durability and increases operational costs.
