Arbor Sales Manager
Sterling is looking for a sales professional who has experience and knowledge in the arbor market. We are looking to add the right individual who will drive sales and assist with product development to help us expand our brand into the arbor market. Qualified candidates will be confident, self-motivated and able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment. This person should have strong communication skills, work as a team player and be able to demonstrate proven sales performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with Director of Sales to manage and drive sales.
    • Provide annual strategic plan for the Arbor Market.
    • Provide market and account-level sales and product forecasting.
  • Proactively expand distribution, while supporting dealers and educating consumers on the arbor product line.
  • Prepare monthly quarterly sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Develop product strategy and work with R&D to design and develop innovative and needed products for arbor category.
    • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to implement effective marketing and media campaigns to arbor market.
    • Recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
    • Report on market trends, product performance, and account input to help drive marketing, product development, and promotional opportunities.
  • Represent company at national and regional trade shows to promote the Sterling Arbor product line; including, but not limited to, ISA regional & international competitions, TCIA tradeshows, safety trainings and seminars.
  • Build and maintain account relationships, maintain effective account communication and provide exceptional service.
  • Must be able to perform hands on demonstrations of our arbor product line
  • Assist other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
  • Work with customer service personnel and internal account managers.
  • Provide product training, including hands on, for Sterling sales, marketing, and R&D staff.
  • Deliver an exceptional brand experience for end users.
Requirements and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 -5 + years of experience in sales and/or account management.
  • ISA Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist.
  • TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.
  • Existing relationships and familiarity with dealers & distributors in the Arbor industry required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to provide efficient training demonstrations and presentations.
  • Excellent customer relations and service skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including ANSI Z133.
  • Strong computer skills a plus.
