Stein Dual 2 Trees 1 Day Part 1

I picked up a Stein Dual at the Savannah NATC this past weekend, and got to use it twice today. The first tree we used it on was a removal - the Dual was cut-in.

~27" tulip-poplar, struck by lightning.

I don't think I'll be putting words with the pictures, just a long stream of pictures to come - if you have questions, fire away.

All the rigging was done with 1/2" dynasorb. Got a little big for it on a piece or two, but the dynasorb takes it pretty well.

Had I been doing oak or beech of the same size, I would have gone up to the 5/8 stable braid, but this worked out just fine and I wanted my ground man to get some practice with that particular rope, as it is our most commonly used rope.

Yes, we did use both bollards for some of the heavier pieces. It was just like using one, no problems to report.

We started the tree on one, then graduated to two when I picked up the 385xp.

It worked well. Part 2 of this post is a beech tree that used both bollards in a different way. I'll try to post it later today or tomorrow (left camera cord at the office).
