Should manufacturers use a transparent heat sink to allow visual inspection?

Just an update, this is still in the works I'm waiting to hear replies on some emails. But I think it has been brought to the attention of atleast some of the people that need to be looking at this so far. So thanks to everyone who helped this ball get rolling
 
Next week I'll take this page and the one I have on Fb and send messages to some manufactures teufelberger, buckingham for starters if you have other manufacturers names let me know and they'll go on the list.

I don't feel any safer with steel core but I like the way it holds its shape on spars but that's me
A hard lay 3 strand such as Samson Tree Master will hold it's shape very well on spars and is way cheaper. Plus you can easily splice your own to any length you want. I've been using one since I tossed my old steel core and the difference is negligible, at least to me.
