Wha
Agree that every piece of equipment should be inspectable, especially a known failure point such as this. In addition I would like to see manufacturer recomendations or ANSI standard (a shall not a should) as to length of service for any given piece. It could be as simple as 5 years for software and 10 year for hardware from the inservice date. Not that many of the lower grade tree slobs would listen, but those trying to be legit would/could have better guildance.
But in the mean time when in dought throw it out ! and Inspect inspect inspect!
What do you mean soft/hard ware

I've now contacted 3 distributers. The names here are rolling in as well I have this posted on facebook. For being less than a day old it's going fairly well.

What about simply making a better product? Those lanyards have sketched me out, I never purchased one for that reason. This could go even further with voting with your dollars...

Make something better sounds easy enough to say but can you give a better alternative?

I talked to the supplier we use at Universal Field Supplies and this is what he replied. I'd like to thank Mike for his help

Hi Kevin,

Rather than sign the petition, I will make a formal request to our supplier (Teufelberger) to make the change from black tubing to clear. Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention.

Regards,

Mike McNairn
