Yesterday (October 17, 2009) I attended the STARRS class in Arlington, Washington. http://www.starrstraining.com
More photos from the event are here: Ox's photo album
It was a great class with good engagement with the audience. The thing that was unique about this event was the very realistic, unannounced simulation of a climber cutting his leg with a chainsaw while in the tree. Here's a video: October 17, 2009 Aerial Rescue Simulation
Anyone can add a caption or description of the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5Fa9tyiXKw&layer_token=bedfc4253632996c It would help to raise awareness of tree safety by hearing your comments.
Thanks to the STARRS Safety Training Aerial Rescue Rope Specialists crew for helping to train the arborists of the future.
