Stand up rope bag????

[ QUOTE ]
What company makes durable rope bags that have stiffeners to keep them upright and open during rope flaking?

I've said it before. I'll say it again....

METOLIUS!!!

I have the Sentinel haul bag. It can hold up to 600' of rope easily. I like it for setting rigging off a crane hook because I can bomb it from great height and easily flake my rope back in quickly to be ready when the crane comes back for me.

Haul bags are great!

I'm going to need a number of bags so cost is an issue. Some of the shorter ropes or less bulky coils will go into five gallon buckets. They can be racked or stored easily.

Thanks for all of the insights!

I have eight of Hobby Climber's original bags from before WesSpur picked them up. They see regular drops off the crane and are going on three years without any major failures. Well-made. Do get a little floppy, but what I do is turn the top edge back on itself to stiffen the edge until I get about half the rope flaked into it, then unroll the top edge and it stays fully open for the rest of the flaking.

I've too got HC original bags before they went to Wesspur. Probably have about 5 of them. Nice bags, drop throw, kick, and spit on them and they still look like new. Mine were proto types but they stand pretty rigid. I'll def. buy more.
