SRT in work climb

In the masters , I footlocked up about 15 feet to the first major limbs, bucked in and installed f8 revolver. then proceeded on climb.

tending it involves takeing as much weight off of f8 revolver as you can. then pull your tail straight up so as little rope is toughing the eight and it is rolling smoothly through bushing on revolver. the friction hitch runs into f8rev and the whole things moves as a unit.

You can grab above fate revolver to take weight off it to tend. or pull up on tree.

I found that it is twice as hard to tend as double rope per foot of rope.... but you only need to tend half as much line so it balances out nicely.

If pulling rope up is not easy, I do a one two motion where I slide f8 up and then tend vt from below.

there is a little bit of a learning curve to it.

oh definitly a locking revolver is better. Although I dont think it unsafe to work with the wire one. branches would always get hooked in it as I worked.

Like I said, he just footlocked 15 feet up, then installed f8 revolver, and climbed the rest of the way up.

Kevin is the man, by the way.
