spider legs and crane near a primary

Only 2. I'm trying to upload the landing, but it hasn't processed with YouTube yet. It shows a close up of the shackle with the 2 legs on it. One 1/2" Amsteel and one 5/8" tenex. I tied the legs on from the crane ball (outta reach from the Hiranger). I shot the vid, I wasn't doing the cutting. I do have 2 vids of us cutting the spar using a single (Amsteel) leg if people are interested. The reason for using synthetics was the close proximity of the primary. The load line never came closer than 10' from the primary.

Way to go Norm.

I look for the bucket entry first on a lot of jobs, speeds things up immensely.

So what did the piece weigh in at?

I had 1 tied to each lead just above the center of gravity (balance) point. That way it makes it alot easier for the crane operator to land the piece.
EKKA, don't know exactly what the piece weighed. It was well within the range of the 40 ton. If I had to guess, I would say 2,000 to 2,500 lbs.
