Sorry I didn't make it to Nashville

Sorry I didn\'t make it to Nashville

I was planning on leaving saturday afternoon after a trackday planned at putnam raceway.

My bike had other plans.

I highsided in turn 7 at around 85mph. The rear let go (slid)comming out of the turn and when it regained traction the suspension compressed and launched both me and the bike 8 to 10 ft in the air. I came to rest 160 ft from the point of lift off. I'm still bruised up and battered but alive. I wanted so much to attend Nashville and expand my learning, but not in the cards this year.

So what did I miss.

Glad to hear you're all right (enough). So your insurance company is going to get right on that claim, huh?

We used to call that maneuver a "high-side".

Dude, I told you to keep it rubber side down!

Bum luck, but there's always a metal victim on track days, I guess your number was up. My brother in law polished his VTR 1000 with straw bales last time he went, managed to keep her upright though.

Happened too quick to react. I'm doing better now, got back to work monday but still in some pain.
