So what are the rules/standards for Comps?

Location
Bermuda
The closest I've ever come to a competition was at the SALTEX show in Windsor in the UK.
There was a whole tree set up for climbing and rigging demos and they had a timed footlock with some cool prizes. The fastest time over the three days of the show would win the prize.
I tried it out and went up in 27 seconds, it had to be about 30+ feet ish..but I never got the call for the prize, boo hoo!

It was a lot of fun and I read all the time about you all going to competitions - I'd like to try it some day!
So if I get all the standards and rules and practice away here in Bermuda...you never know!

So where can I get the info?

These are the rules for the ITCC. Most chapters adopt the rules. A chapter has the priveledge to make changes as they see fit.

Scotty has the right to make changes to fit the Geezer's Invitational.

Thanks Kathy

Double d'oh Tom!

Thanks Kathy, unlikely to make it to any competitions anytime soon, too expensive with the airfare and all, but I'd like to see if we can rustle up something here among the half dozen tree climbers...

Ta!

I'm not in any chapter, they don't have one for 'Middle of the Atlantic Ocean'...I think I am classified as a 'member at large'...does that get me any points?

not sure what the rules are for members at large - anyone know? mark bridge, who posts here as mark b., is also i believe a member at large and i think has competed at internationals as such..?
