Snow, snow go away....

Ready for spring...

Amen, brother. Was playing around with an SRT base anchor idea on the trunk of a tree when a low-flying flock of geese, headin' north, passed right above me at a real low altitude. Splat! A couple of near misses with the old goose poop, but I didn't even care. So nice to have some nice days! Besides, it was probably just the Royal Canadian Air Force on a bombing mission.

am i the only one who wears plastic bags in my boots to keep my feet dry?
i mentioned that we do removals for the regional power company.
what i forgot to mention is that with all this snow on the ground making roads a bit more narrow, and working on roads that dont require a detail cop around, there are a lot of paying Eversource Energy costumers who are unhappy that they cant do 40mph thru their neighborhood because of crews maintaining their power lines, which requires them to actually drive slow and careful as they pass.
OR, god forbid, they could use one of the 15 other fucking ways to get top the same flippin' place. not to mention, the people who are so bothered by the inconvenience of us working who feel the need to yell at us or call the shop and make up stories of guys yelling and throwing helmets.........

MAD props to line clearance crew who do that shit all year around. its unappreciated work

Well good news is it's starting to melt fast! We started a road widening project last week. All was going well until in the afternoon the Pin for the grapple rotator broke! Grrrrr! We all actually got sun burned yesterday!

How is that Morbark running for you Deevo? What are you pulling it with?
Awesome buddy! Love it! We were supposed to have the winch on 2 weeks ago.....but the one that they ordered wasn't the right one for the machine so I'm waiting for the right one to come in! Right now pulling it with my f450. I'm looking for a bigger truck as we speak. We use the morbark mainly for these jobs and lot clearing and the smaller chippers for smaller jobs.

A couple of warmish sunny days this week means spring is coming, right? NOPE! Another 35cm of snow coming over the next few days.

I'd feel sorry for ya Boom.......but I live in Saskatchewan!
Ah true Canucks, havin' a dick measuring contest about whose winter is worse. It actually looks quite pleasant in Saskatchewan right now; wouldn't mind being there myself. This next dump should put us around 360cm total for the season (~12ft for you Yanks)

So, we can expect Jeff to be starting a thread this summer.... Title: Get These Damn Dirty Bugs Off My Sweaty Butt!:frio:o_O
So, today was day 3 of our heat wave: only hit 91 degrees (not the 93 they predicted - darn!) and 94% humidity. Completely soaked thru my entire tee shirt by 8 a.m., sweat/suntan lotion mix running down the inside of my safety glasses (and burning the eyes), sweated so badly inside my blue Atlas gloves that I got prune fingers, leaving dirty wet sweat stains from the bottoms of my forearms on the rim of the bucket and everything else I touch, prickly heat rash around my ankles inside the ol' Red Wing loggers, some serious crotch pot cooking going on, helmet, gloves and saddle all getting kind of "ripe" smelling, and so much sawdust stuck to my dripping sweaty face that I look like a panko breaded fish filet.

God I miss winter!!!
