cravings last 1-5 minutes and sure enough 5 min later back to close to normal. The time between cravings lasted longer every time. Currently ... smoking like a fire.

Who's a non-smoker now...that's right,this GUY!

Man do I feel better. No that's a lie, but its only been 30 minutes.

Anyone gone through this? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Might be a couple ugly days for sure, I'm pretty sure I get through it though.

Thanks
I smoked for 13 years,,,, took meds ,,bute something the other one is chantix be aware side effects but three months of that 40 pounds of sun seeds 100 dollars in gum a couple sico episodes and I'm 4 years smoke free , one tip stay away from other smokers .. Period ..you might want to hurt them without mercy and prolly hate them just cause they smoke
Also remember nicotine is a chemical there are triggers it is a chemical balance /imbalance that you are fighting

Yeah, I don't like breathing in diesel smoke either. we should ban diesel machines in all public places. The intent would be right, it would be a healthier place.
I really like this idea a lot. If they did away with gas engines I would be happy too. There are better ways

I started smoking at 13 and quit 2 years ago at 26. I tried gum, patches, e-cigs. None of it was even moderately effective. If anything, my nicotine intake went up, just not necessarily in smoking form. When I finally quit it was cold turkey. I quit drinking at the same time and within 6 months my elbow tendinitis and carpal tunnel (early stages) pretty much disappeared. I don't think I could ever give up coffee though.

I know people get pissed about smoking bans but it's hard to argue that secondhand smoke isn't affecting those around you. Pretty much the same thing as shoving a cig in their mouth. As far as banning tobacco on the job, for me it's about professionalism. Smokers take a lot more breaks too.

Man wyo, what's left to live for? :) Ha ha.....Oh yeah, coffee.

Been there man...not that long ago either...and for a lot more years than you...to the point where I'm scared to talk about it, for fear of jinxing myself.

One of the hardest things for me about quitting is the weight I put on. I can say for sure it was a factor in the failed attempts I had.

Smoking on the job.... grrrrr. It really looks unprofessional when someone is working with a cigarette hanging out of their mouth. Pet peeve of mine.

No doubt, it's nasty. Yeah, I imagine a climber that chews could be awful.
But with Snus you don't really spit. It's not a fermented tobacco like dip. And supposedly not as carcinogenic. It was only a tool for me though.
