Slings

i've tried to de-scribe in writing and on phone how i've all ways stored slings and krabs for positive time, effort and space efficiencies while climbing. Red sling shows storage and deploymeant strategy, blue sling takes that a step further and shows placing on 'limb'. Segmenting linkage to loading seperate adjustable modules like this allows more flexibility, strategy, adjustment etc.; Doing it positively and efficiently allows practicing it more, and carrying them more. If you don't carry them up, you have to weigh each decision to use against the time it takes to send up. i made the decision one day they were my weapons of choice and carried them up always; and have found so much more uses and wonders from there decievingly simple looks! Many not even on the load.

Featured is the Dyneema slings from Sherrill Tom suggested i try instead of the 1"rs i used for years. Also, from Sherrill the light, simple 'open' captive eye Foins. The captive eye keeps the sling in corner without choke. This lessens likelyhood of cross loading and allows the sling to float freely to wear more evenly(without having to rechoke all your slings occasionally).

The animations take so long to produce, and not everything lends themselves easily to it. Though by this exercise; and breaking stuff down to frames; i might be closer rather than farther from animating this mys-elf.

i've been playing with simple digital vid on camera. This is blowed up and the file size is compressed; 2 detriments to quality. It only plays in Flash8 player because of the advanced video compression in it(started out at 8meg, zoomed in, blocked out sides, removed sound and compressed down to 2meg); and am trying to imbed it in a regular internet page with text, links etc. but that didn't go tooo wel!

So, still not very dialup friendly, not sharpest quality; but pretty quick compared to lots of other stuff. The vector animations would take care of speed and quality; would be more like the opening Title etc.
