Why all the different eye configurations on slings.
Anyone know the purpose for each of the eye designs in the attachment?

I think the folded eye is designed for lifting.

#2 will allow the eye to lay flat when it is choked. If #1 is choked there will be a bit of a twist in the eye.

I think that other ones add more webbing thickness in case of wear. I'm just guessing...

The folded ones would also be more suitable for more-confined attachments.
