single rope retrievable re-direct

So... I know of one way to set-up a retrievable re-direct by using a natural crotch and keeping the tail of your climbing line with you as you limb-walk, on single rope. Then lanyarding in and sending your friction hitch/device up and through the natural crotch and back down to you by pulling on the tail of your climbing line.

Are there other ways of setting up a retrievable re-direct while climbing single rope?

Any comments are appreciated.

Seems like a ring and ring style friction saver would be a fine redirect that would be ground retrieved in the same way as on a DdRT system.

When you are a "pulley under the friction hitch climber" like me you can use the lower part of your climbing line.
All you need is an extra friction hitch with biner, a sling, one big biner and a DMM revolver (or another small biner) and of course your obligatory retrieverball (that is big enough to get stuck into the revolver).

Climb up to the place where you want to install the redi and flip in.
Attach your revolver and big biner onto the sling (one on each end).
Clip the revolver onto the part of your climbing line that is going to the ground.
Flip the sling over the redi branch and attach the big biner onto the climbing line behind the revolver (onto the side that is going to the ground).
Now you install the friction cord onto the climbing line that is going to the ground and attach the biner onto your harness.
Now you have two anchor points to climb from.
Do your trick by climbing to wherever you wanted to go.
When you don't need the second one any more you just get rid of the friction cord of the second system, install the retriever ball on the end of your line and pull out the redi.

I made an adjustable retrievable redi I use for double rope but it should work the same for srt.

All it is is a chunk of spliced rope with a snap shackle on the prussic. I put some zing-it on an automatic fly reel that connects to my saddle and the other end to the release mechanism of the shackle.
