I've ascended that way before and what a PITA! (for me anyway) I'd much rather footlock that tail. Seems like you really are better versed at it than I am though. Nice Video. Keep em' comin!

Nice video. I'll be showing this to my daughters who haven't quite bridged between the foot prusik loop and footlocking.

I think I experimented with this technique. My success was to roll my knee forward to get my ankle more in line with the rope and then stand straight up, extending the foot down and slightly to the rear. Most trouble I've seen is when the foot is out in front, like stepping up a ladder.
