Simple SRT set up?

Gord I set one of my guys up with that variation(well as close as I could ).Its really streamline compared to the more traditional frogwalker system

...I believe the Unicender is a great tool, as the Art products (Lockjack Sport etc) are as well in the right circumstances, but 90% of my work is takedowns and I just dont think these tools are going to be at their best when full of sawdust, treedirt(?), moss, lichen and sap.

Are you serious?

Have you ever used a Unicender before? Ever?

It doesn't matter what percentage of the time you are doing removals, IMO. The Unicender cannot possibly be affected by sawdust, tree dirt(?), moss, lichen, and sap. The ART Lock Jack, however, could be affected by this stuff.

Heck, if one were to exclusively use the Uni on removals, he/she would save energy & work faster.

You brought it up. I had to bite on that one.

This is indeed a SRT conversation. Let's not veer off the subject Grover. Let's not talk about the Unicender, as you suggested either.

Can someone please post me a pic or send me in the general direction of a thread which has pics of a simple SRT/Frog setup?

I currently use 2 Petzl ascenders (right and left) incorporating 3 slings to create a very basic and un-ergonomic SRT setup, decided to get organised with a decent setup so if anyone can help that'd be cool.

Thanks

(No Unicender or Art products please!)

Can you post a picture of your set up? The Britsh Special Forces have an acronim KISS= Keep It Simple Stupid. My old boss also had a saying whenever I complained about something being uncomfortable or hard, "Sometimes when you go to work you have to expect to be a man."
