Yup, super easy to splice and way more durable than ocean 8. Its my go to for lanyard hitch and ring accesories.

I was shocked at how easy it was to splice! Is there any difference between the two colors of 8mm AP?

The green has a spectra and kevlar core and the orange has a poly core.

Does that mean they are meant for different applications?

They both can be used for friction hitches. The poly core I would guess would be for production whereas the hi mod core would be considered competition grade.

I've really just been experimenting but the oceans is 30" while the ap is about 28"

Early morning friction saver out of used Blaze. Only my third or fourth time splicing used rope...won't be doing it again anytime soon. Not much fun.

I lied...a surprisingly easy to splice hank of used Rush and some of that SOB used Tachyon which everyone hates so much.
