Setting up the rope wrench with the hh pulley

Like Tony said it keeps the legs of Oceans Tether in place and not getting floppy.......I clip into the same hole with my chest harness to advance the system.....
 
Damn Paul, your hitch cords should be in a calendar.they are looking beautiful! How u like that ultra tech?.. You get all those from moosehead? "jay"
 
Yup, Ralphy no one else will splice for me now....Jay just does such a wonderful job.....Ultra tech is good cord, used it earlier on and liked it but I am a hitch cord junkie....like to get them just right...I have seen some awful ones in my time that I would never use...to each his own though....

Yes, Jay does a terrific job of work with those splices. I just got an adjustable Ring to ring FS made out of cougar blue and green Armor prus with the dmm rings. I'm gonna get to use it tomorrow, can't wait. My go too hitch cords are beeline,ArmorPrus & HRC all in 8mm, anywhere from 24-30" range. What length do u usually use on 8 mm and what hitch? I've been using the michoacan,distel and vt
 
Messed with the michoacan, but a four wrap/three braid VT using 30" 8mm prussic ( HRC, armor prus or my hybrid Armor prus )with 11.5mm rope...is my thing....
 
I don't get to climb near as much I used to but I still like to keep up to date and tinkering with new products. Here is a tether configuration I came up with after reading these threads...though I have not climbed on it yet, just tested on ground. Maybe someone can set theirs up like this and see how it works. (wondering how the HC pulley attachment operates under climbing conditions)

Tether is made from an old but never used e-n-e prusik 30" length, pulled through $1 worth of 1/2" vinyl tubing to make a 15" stiff tether. It is attached to the middle hole on the HC puller via a tractor linkage pin.

I wanted a 24" e-n-e to make a 12" stiff tether but I don't splice and i'm too cheap to buy one as I seldom would use it.
