Tree Climber Specialist

We specialize in plant health care, tree pruning, tree removals, and landscaping.
Position Summary:
Preservation Tree Care is seeking a skilled, professional, motivated and safety conscience team members to be a Tree Climber Specialist. This position is highly technical and requires an understanding of industry standards in tree health, pruning, climbing, rigging, and tree removal.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-Tree climbing, technical pruning, removals and rigging
-Equipment maintenance and operation; Large trucks, wood chippers, chainsaws, etc.
-Utilize and maintain climbing gear, hand tools, rigging ropes, etc.
-Brush dragging and yard clean up.
-Professional appearance and positive interactions with clients
-Function as a team member and possess the commitment to further develop Preservation Tree Care’s culture of safety and positive work environment
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
• ISA Certified Arborists will receive preference
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a professional tree climber.
• Tree identification
• Crane Removal experience preferred
• Valid State Drivers license and clean driving record
• Ability to drive defensively and safely.
• Strong Communication skills, including verbal and written
• Ability to assess and mitigate job site hazards
• Ability to excel in and promote a strong team oriented work environment
• Understanding of industry standards for pruning and safety.
• Understand and follow all OSHA requirements for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) related to job duties.
• Ability to make decisions with sound judgment and to know when to ask for support.
• Able to lift, carry, or drag logs and brush greater than 50lbs. consistently.
