I could never drag 33' of lanyard around with just one end clipped. I'm not that good.Let it all hang loose!.. Or maximum, clip tail-end spliced eye (..end) to harness (somewhere convenient) Never had a problem I couldn't flick/tug/ or snap out.
...less kit + less loops = less snags!
It's true, my lanyard is not that long, so my maybe I just get away with it!I could never drag 33' of lanyard around with just one end clipped. I'm not that good.
...just ordered six.Oh yeah of course! Me to... from time to time, pain in the arse is it's your lanyard... groundies can't help. Never to snag is a bit optimistic though, so minimise it as much as you need! If this clip works for you then thumbs up all round, but to me it looks as likely to gather dead twigs as rope!... at least for the kind of stuff I find myself doing in trees lately!
By the way, REALLY happy to have found this forum! Tons of great advice, tips, stuff, etc....
gave me the idea to use something like this clip when hedge trimming with electric, to store surplus flex... maybe even while vacuuming the house!.. (Any excuse to throw on a harness)
Thanks!
...also ordered a 'magnetic' dive-hose clip that I spotted on the same site....just ordered six.
