Scuba clips for lanyard management

Prussik and pully would be fine so long as you could get hitch cord that worked well with 10mm cord that the sidewinder takes. If I was going to try for that, I'd try to find some of that less than round all gear cord that tree stuff used to sell. I made a usaver using it and 10mm OP and it works pretty well. Can't remember the name of it.

hey, JT ...
I've had good luck with 8mm All Gear Tech Cord (now called TVP) on 10mm OP as an adjusting prussic (not a climbing prussic). Strong and very easy to splice (Class II).

I was just thinking of the scuba clips today and was going to ask how they held up through the summer. Anyone?

I've been using the scuba hose clips since the middle of last summer, and have yet to break one. Still working fine. They're perfect for my lanyards that are under 12mm but are a little tight with the 13mm ones. Still work, but sometimes I have to use two hands to pull the rope out of the upper/side holes. Pops right out of the lower/end holes just giving it a light yank.

They seem frail, but are holding up.

Mine is going strong too, though I'm only rec climbing about once a week.

I left a long tail on one side of my lanyard hitch and added a stopper. When storing, I clip the lanyard to this tail between the carb and stopper and it keeps everything tidy.

I'm using it on 11mm Velocity which works great. Tried it on 11.7 cougar and it's tighter, but still fine. With the 11 I can tend it, though sometimes it catches. A kermantle would be sweet as.

This works for me

Ropeshield - I've been running the same thing for the last 3 months and love it. I cut mine down to just 4 "toes" and my 12 foot lanyard coils nicely to my knees at most. The rope feeds through it nicely and is easy to pull a loop out or add one back in.

I talked to the guy that owns the company at a booth during the state fair here in MN, I liked that they are all made here in the US!

Let it all hang loose!.. Or maximum, clip tail-end spliced eye (..end) to harness (somewhere convenient) Never had a problem I couldn't flick/tug/ or snap out.

...less kit + less loops = less snags!
