Scarpa

Just got my pair of Kayland Zephyr boots last week from sierra trading post for under $100 - they are great! They don't make me a better climber, but they most certainly make climbing better.

Really loving my New Arbpro boots from TreeGear! Boots are really great, just stiff enough for wearing while in hooks, the toe rand is sticky when footlocking, but it doesnt capture your rope and hold it when going for that next lock, and super comfortable. Ill keep you updated about their durability.

Trevor is a breeze to deal with and had the boots over to me in no time. Thanks Trev!!!!!

my new arbpro boots came . what a great pair of boots lots of grip for walking wet limbs and great for foot locking.

Those Arbpro boots look alot like the pro ascents. I might have to give them a try. I'm always leary purchasing boots when i'm not able to try them on. Made a few bad purchases that way...

dude, love my scarpa's and miss them. got the arbpro's. more comfy and it took less time to break in but i'm also already having issues w/a tear looks to be another on the opposite boot forming in the same spot. over 2 yrs. climbing on scarpa and the only prob. is the sole wore out. currently working on fixing that prob. though

I've been wearing a pair of Scarpa Kailash GTX's for pruning work over the last year and a bit, and I've been loving them. I picked them up on sale for $150 and it was definitely money well spent. They are a little soft for spur work, but the Vibram sole and Gore-Tex really come in handy while pruning in rainy climates. I treat them with Nikwax every 3 months and they keep my feet dry and happy. They are showing a bit of wear, but considering the abuse they take, I'm quite impressed. I've purchased boots for double the cost of my Scarpa's that didn't hold up nearly as well.
Scarpa's also seem to accommodate my orthodics quite well, so that was a big selling point too.
On a similar note...Is anyone aware of "high cut" Gore-Tex boots that work well in spurs? I have an old pair of Danners that I tried on a removal, but the soles didn't work well with spurs.
