saw sharpening

Any tips on filing handsaw or polesaw blades? Where can I find the proper size files? I have been told that all I have to do is file the uppermost tip of each tooth. I should not have to file the side edges. Does anyone have any luck filing these tri-cut blades?

It's best to just buy new blades.

Even if you master the filing, it won't stay sharp very long. ;^)

Most good blades are hardened steel and therefore EXTREMELY hard to sharpen.

Fanno claims to sharpen them but it would be cheaper to just by new ones.
