Safe work from the bucket...

[ QUOTE ]
If me and tree co were on the road , he'd be driving and he be getting the coffee .

That's almost exactly the opposite of how I would roll. I love driving, and I like a little bit of coffee with my cream.

I think that would make you and I perfect travel companions, as I would have no problem supplying you with cups of black coffee while driving you all over kingdom come.

I have been cutting and holding for 26 years, not only do I cut and chuck, but when I drop the limbs I try to drop all butt ends in the same direction and into piles so the ground man only has to scoop it up and drag it away, I can't stand waiting for a guy as he walks underneath me for one limb at a time. Safety is job one, but without production you can go be safe for someone else.

what were you doing in my thoughts? Get out of my head!

I try to do the same whenever possible, I find it greatly reduces crew fatique, speeds up the job, and lessens lawn/drive/etc damage.

Work Safe!

I'm a fairly new climber/bucket operator so take my "wisdom" with a grain of salt... I one hand a saw from the bucket all the time. Today for example... I was removing a small (maybe 35' tall 16" at the base) Linden over a fence that seemed to made of parchment paper. None of the limbs were worth the time it takes to rig them out. It would have been laughable. It was cut and chuck all the way. In my mind it comes down to personal safety. Think about the cut. Make sure you can hold the weight of the limb without losing control and crossing the path of the running saw. It may not be ANSI it may not be OSHA but at the end of the day no safety commission will triumph over common sense and careful practice.

True that! And I too love Riggs (in a manly way though).

I can't help but laugh at Riggs. He really sums things up quick.

Iguess I can laugh because I know how good he really is on the job.
