Interesting...havn't heard of it. I climbed on a new 'prototype' harness from Buckingham yesterday. It is apparently designed with competition in mind, based on the Master 2. It's a lot lighter, grey and black. Walking around on the ground it was awesome, snug fitting, and so light, even with my normal compliment of gear. I used to climb on the Master 2 for a couple years, gave up 'cause the upper tie in points cause the waist belt to pull up into your flaoting ribs. That began to cause me alot of pain, so I switched to a Glide, which I'm pleased with. This new harness did the same thing when it was sat in. If I were to fix the harness to my preferences it would retain the waist belt as its own part, the leg straps as their own part and a single webbing tie-in right at the pelvis, connected with short adjustable pieces of webbing, similar to Buckingham's other modular harnesses. I got to try the harness care of Wenda Li, who I have the pleasure of teaching arborist apprentices with at Humber College this winter.
