Rotational torque on a limb?

Ha nice top to climb in. I know lots of 'climbers' has much trouble to pass such deformed branch on gaffs. They seem to have very hard time to stay in balance...... On such leaders grown out and then upwards i usually go the same as i mentiond in the 'climbing in wind' thread. To reduce change on torque i start removal from the top down. With lowering the leader from top and keeping branches low they will dampen the torque effect. Its some more effort to cut smaller and drop the branches down the crown. If possible i clean a patch in the crown when going up were the wood can get dropped/lowered. I remember a pic from Jelte were he was climbing a hollow poplar with also a uge branche that formed the new leader? That looked more ugly to me to climb.
