After more than four years wrenching....many many combos...nothing beats this streamlined setup....clip HAAS to pin at back....this is do clean and tends like butter...fuck a HC....keep them for their purpose DdRT....That CT pulley is still the best thing I've found with the RW, @swingdude, and the one I'm using.

Hey man you didn't bring up one of the best parts of using the HC pulley..the zero drop setup with throw line is an awesome feature easily added .. good work on that one whip .. anyone got a link to that thread..? I have been feeling" retro"/ately in the haze of mechanical meotdown..lol ..and been climbing on the pinto with shorty tether. But I remember Ed why I like the hc no drip setup after using bdb for a time now after a few days wanting the ease of redi without a device on the line..minimizing time away from lifeline is very important to me more now . Here's mine right now short and tight .. better on tachyon.. or yale than this vortex ..i like the pinto cause it keeps the legs open nicely with wrench tether in middle.I think the HC Pulley provides more options for people that might switch back and forth from DdRT to SRT. Also, people getting into SRT already have a HC more often than a Pinto. One of my favorite SRT setups incorporates 100% of my older DdRT kit, but just adds the Rope Wrench. I covered it all in the TCIA SRT Climber Manual. There's also a video reference in some footage that Moss took when we climbed a huge White Pine together. The system changeover can be seen near the 6:00 minute mark of the video. Here's a link (props @moss ):

@JustinK , thanks for posting pictures of your kit! Have you tried setting up the Tether and Hitch in the bottom hole of the HC becket? That's what I use, which leaves the middle hole open for a tending point. You may also notice a bit more immediate tending action from the pulley being set up in the bottom hole. I've also set up with a mini keychain or XSRE biner left in the middle hole to keep the pulley upright and make for attaching the chest harness a bit easier.

One more ,better shot. I use dmm rhino crab with either pinto or hc pulley to keep it all in line that horn is ingeniousView attachment 39713
