That is cool. I would like to make a rug from some retired rigging rope some time.

I have made some horse reigns for a friend of mine from a piece of Arbormaster that was shortened prematurely. He liked that they were spliced and not stitched. Aparently the stitched reigns are known to fall apart and spook young horses.
