Rocky Mountain Chapter

In one sense the more we move it around the more exposure for the ISA and professionalism in our industry we will get. There is a very high probability thta we could get the TCC on the front page of CanonCity's Daily Record if it were held here. I suspect that a TCC could be quite a sensation in numerous smaller communities. Keeping things close to the Denver Metro area makes things easier for many of the participants (And probably most of the organizers since there is more of a local pool to pull volunteers from) but moving around might pull in some new blood. Personally I am willing to go help whereever it is held in the region.

That was Fred's inside joke with me. Every time he sees me in "his territory" he gives me funny threats to "stay out of his town."

So, if I see him in "my town" I'll tell him the same.

Right Fred?

I have huge respect for Fred. He is the real deal. I think many arbo's could learn a lot from him.

Hey Fred! When am I going to take you out to lunch

Not to wear this thread bare but....
I was looking at the differents pros to having the comp here and here a few: Totally easy parking scene, walking distance to hotels and downtown, world class mountain biking and trout fishing- also no drive needed, Narrow Gauge railroad to Silverton for side activities, gee what else... Oh yeah really sweet trees in a couple of different parks. As well as this town loves to host events- especially those that include athletics of any sort. I can assure you the Durango Herald would be all over coverage also.
One of our local weekly papers interviewed me about the comp and were interested in talking to O as well. We might take them down to the park and show them some stuff later this week. I'll post if they do an article- it would probably be available on line.

Skew,

I would love to help out if PG will fly me out there.....maybe I can get him to come with me and bring his mountain bike.

Put in a good word for me with the big guy.

Not enough for telemark(little toe , big toe) just enough to excite the senses.
SZ- I will see what I can do. I am afeared I have little sway in this day and age.
However: that said; Come one come all skew gardens would be all the more festive.

Yeah, that came from the office, and I should have noticed and edited it. I think Dustin Geesaman was faster than Luke, too. He forgot to pass the yellow tape twice on the limb walk, though, or he might have won the event.
